Группа поэтов, связанных с Колледжем Блэк-Маунтин [Black Mountain College], шт. Северная Каролина; экспериментальная община студентов, преподавателей, художников, музыкантов, танцоров (1933-56). Основные представители - Ч. Олсон [Olson, Charles], Р. Данкан [Duncan, Robert] и Р. Крили [Creeley, Robert], редактор журнала "Блэк-Маунтин ревью" ["The Black Mountain Review"] в 1954-57. Каждый из членов группы имел собственное представление о выражении чувств; все поэты экспериментировали в области размера, слога, формы стиха. Некоторые студенты по окончании колледжа развивали их идеи. Среди них - Дж. Винерс [Wieners, John], Дж. Оппенхеймер [Oppenheimer, Joel], Э. Дорн [Dorn, Ed], Дж. Уильямс [Williams, Jonathan], М. Румейкер [Rumaker, Michael]
